Car Recce for Cyclohunt!Only 9 of us could make it so we were split into 2 groups to explore the North route and East route. Our group took the East route, which turned out to be super sleazy. Lol.Supper @ECP Macs @ 9.30 PM. (It was an overnight recce)- Baby's Standard Chartered shirt =P
Posers.
Then we set off. WHEE! Our first stop was Changi Village and we saw a tranny up-close. Super ultra SEXY lah!!!! But when she (or he) turned around, the face was like.... cough. Went around looking for possible checkpoints and games. Den headed to downtown east...Then Changi airport T3 where we decided to have supper number 2. -.-" Rovers is all about eating. Lol. Went to popeye's. Nice.
And KM says:"Wenjun why u shit!!?" (These were the exact words -.-")
He ate the 'B'!
Den we went to some other places like Tampines Ikea, VJC, Anglican High... Plus indoor/outdoor Stadium (hoping to catch sight of some sleazy activities) Heh! Then went to the S'pore flier and played with some abandoned trishaw. Finally headed to Suntec and drove around the fountain of wealth dunno how many times to count the number of benches(for our cyclohunt game) until we felt like puking. Finally went to Geylang *cough* for tao huay before we finally went home at 6 am. omg! Shag.
Oh! Halfway thru we got lost somewhere around Paya Lebar Air base. And the road was super narrow and totally deserted with forests at both sides. We drove for around 15 mins aimlessly before we finally saw another car. Coincidentally, we were talking about spooky stuff when we got lost so we started to freak out and even mistook a rubbish bin for a ghost. -.-"
Oh and did i mention that rovers is all about eating and eating and eating? Haha. It's tradition to have supper after our meetings. So after our 2nd meeting, some of us went down to Bukit Timah for Indian food!!! We ordered almost everything on the menu and had a big big feast! Muahaha!
Another one of my unglam shots . They have one whole album of photos dedicated to my unglam pictures. Argh.

I think i've lost the motivation to blog. Lol. But after 2 hours of cramming "S'pore's militory history" facts (most of which i still don't understand) into my puny brain, I decided to switch to therapeutic blogging before i pull all my hair out. Heh... Anyways, sometime back in Aug, some of us went for a Comm selection trek in Kota Tinggi (Malaysia) with our seniors. Too many pictures to upload everything, but those below are the.... eh..."essence" of the trek. Met super early @Kranji MRT to take 170 across the causeway but still got caught in a horrible jam. Oh and dear bought me breakfast =)) Hehe.
Finally, we reached Malaysia. Headed to City Square for Macs breakfast (eat again).
After that we boarded some old bus to Kota Tinggi. It's a small town in Malaysia if i'm not wrong.
Cam-whore adddicts. =)
Finally we reached the foot of the mountain. Took a short rest while we applied slabs of insect repellent.
But before reaching the actual starting point, we had to cross this tiny river. Surprisingly, the water is super clear and cooling. Oh and note the log at the background. I thought i was short enough ok... In the end i walked smack into the log with a loud bang. Omg.... everyone got stunned den burst out laughing. -.-". Haha... Concussed for a few seconds. but luckily i've got a super thick skull.
Finally, the REAL trek started.
During our trek briefing, the seniors told us that this trek would be a SIMPLE one. 2 stars, at most. and we had no reason not to believe them. Until....
Looks easy enough? A bit of elevated ground only what. But let me show u the "elevated ground" from another view.
It was at a 90 degrees angle ok!!! We had nothing to hold onto except for roots and trunks protruding from the ground. U had to claw your way up and dig your fingers into the mud to hoist yourself up. Some aresa had no footholds at all and that meant thet we had to stretch our legs to the limits at awkward positions.
More climbing.
Balancing on the fallen log cos that part of the river was too deep for us to cross on foot.Pretty freeky cos the log was rotting and a little unstable. Plus, our bags weighed us down.
More vertical climbing. =(
Some areas had no footholds at all and that meant we had only our hands to support our entire weight. it felt like doing pull-ups, just that your life was in your hands, literally. Despite the feeling that our arms were ripped off their sockets, we were amazed by the beautiful scenery around us... And the waters were marvellous as compared to Singapore's dirty longkang water.
After a lot of struggling, we finally reached our first rest-point. Had our lunch there and played with water for a while. It was a waste that we couldn't play at the waterfall cos we were behind schedule. But still, we had lots of fun.
Halfway thru lunch, it started to rain, so we ate our protein bars mixed with rainwater. Too hungry to complain anyway. The rain turned into a downpour though, and some of us decided to wear our caps cos we didn't fancy wiping rainwater from our eyes with our muddy hands. Caps proved to be a lof of help, even though i kept banging my head on low branches cos i couldn't see above me.
Then we proceeded to the more challenging part: Climbing along the sides of the main biggest waterfall. The rocks at the side were covered with moss so they were super slippery and harzadous. Moreover, it was raining. We had to cling onto rocks beside us to keep us from falling. And those rocks had moss too -.-"
We had to scramble over the log. My legs couldn't touch the ground when i was on it luh!
See the miniature people at the top? Yea, that was how high up we had to climb. That was only 1/4 of the actual height. We had a lot further to go.
Finally, after much effort and psychological trauma (lol), we reached the top, where the waterfall reached a plateau. The rain had become a drizzle by then so we decided to play a little and cam-whore (as usual).
Me:xiao bu dian (i hate that name, idiot ah seng) and Wanwei:da jie jie. We were expressing our cough...love. And some jealous ppl kept splashing water at us.
1-6. Vulgar John. Tsk tsk.
We trekked a little further up to base camp. No more slippery rocks. Phew.
Our came was on top of that "hill". Climbing up was super tiring cos it was made of soft sand, which meant that every step we took, we would sink at least 10 cm into the ground. Failed jumpshot attempt.
We pitched our tents in the rain so it turned out a little sloppy, hehe. But commendable effort ok!
Then we settled into our tent to cook. The seniors had a tent to themselves while the rest of us were split evenly into 2 groups. My group consisted of "kah mor", Alan, Pingasari, Grace and Kian Yew.
Our pasta was super delicious. We had Kueh Lapis too. Muahaha. Sinful.
Then the guys decided they were still hungry so we cooked Maggimee.
The seniors tent. They were super zai can. they even brought a frying pan and seaweed chicken. Then they made hamburgers cos they brought beef petti too. -.-"
Our group wanted to stay up all night initially to chat and BBQ marshmallows. But after one day of exertion, we were all exhausted. Decided to lie down and sing songs but ended up falling asleep. But most of us couldn't sleep well cos Ah Seng (ex president) was snoring super loudly frm the other tent. Oh and it was FREEZING from 3 am onwards! We were all shivering uncontrollably the next morning even with our jackets on.
Went to wash the utensils we used the night before @ some pond nearby. There were a lot of tadpoles there. Dunno whether they will die after we wash or not.
Then... BREAKFAST!!! Really sumptious. We had egg with sausage, bread with kaya and tuna and peanut butter, milo with marshmellows.
Kar Mor is our official cook! Like housewife liddat. -.-"
And once again, the seniors show their zai-ness by using portable stools! -.-". Oh Man. We decided that when we step up, we would surpass them by bringing a stove. Muahaha.
Time to unpitch tents.
Dunno why but our jumpshots always fail.
The seniors do it better, even with their hiking bags on.
Time to go. Alan was super emo.
Climbing down was faster, but more freaky due to gravitational pull.
Stoopit face.
Reached heaven! Haha.. Our first rest-point on the first day. Decided to stay longer to play.
Clara (senior), me and Pingasari.
Then we decided to venture into the waterfall. The water was super fast and strong. Sanding under it was like having a head massage. Pain.
Then we had to move off cos we had to catch a bus. Decided to use another alternate route, which ended up being harzadous. Slippery rocks yet again.
there were some parts where we had to wade in waist-deep water. But it was really fun except for times when u slipped on rocks at the riverbed.
Vertical. Some parts were too treacherous so we had to hold onto ropes to support our body weight while we slid down the high rocks to the ground below.
Jonathan, Ping, Clara and me =)
Me trying to climb to the bottom and hanging o for my dear life.
This was the stewpit rock where i slipped and fell into the water.
Difficult parts are over! And everyone heaves a sigh of relief.
Lup Wai, Me, Ping and WW
Frog happily sitting on a leaf and i almost walked into it. Smack in the face(almost).
FINALLY IT'S OVER! We decided to reward ourselves with Marybrown! Tasted better than KFC. Or was it because i was just too happy to be alive? Haha. Oh! and i had a leech bite near the end of the trek. Ah seng flicked it away but my leg was bleeding all the way until i reached Mary Brown. Gross.
Then we happily took a bus back to City Square. Surprisingly, we were super energetic and high. We took up almost the whole bus. Started singing songs. English, Chinese, Kiddy, funny disgusting songs. Haha. Much to the disgust of the few Malaysians scattered around the bus. Super noisy and rowdy.
Yups... All of us went home tired but happy. It was a really good experience and marvellous bonding session. Great bunch of people, all crappy and lame. =))
But i was happiest, cos i could go back and see Leong Jing Pok. I missed him so much lah!He was like my motivation to carry on when the climbing became excruciatingly tiring and scary. Muacks. Love u baby.
